Obamacare is not currently in Open Enrollment. This means that to enroll, you will need to prove you have a Special Election Period, or Qualifying Life Event to enroll such as recently losing credible coverage.

To see if you may qualify to enroll before the next Open Enrollment please click here.

However, Short Term Medical Plans may be applied for all year long.

Short Term Medical Plans

These plans are NOT ACA Compliant - Learn more here

The price difference can be staggering when compared to Obamacare plans. This is largely due to the fact that they do not cover Pre-Existing Conditions, Maternity, Preventive Care or Retail Prescriptions. Many allow you to see any medical provider in the US, but offer a nationwide PPO network to reduce your billed charges and save you money.

Currently their policy terms are limited to up to 90 days, but some companies have creative new ways to make extending coverage with them easier. Understand however, that each new policy term will have all new deductibles and coinsurance

However, in March of 2018 President Trump submitted new guidelines to allow these policies to be kept in effect up to 364 days and even be renewed. As of today, we await the final rules which in part will be determined by each state.

These plans can be a very good option for the right people and situations.
